5-512: Ms. Burdette

I’m ​​​Ms.​​Burdette ​​and​​ I ​​have ​​taught ​​3rd, ​​4th, ​​and ​​5th​​ grade ​​at ​​PS​​173. I ​​love ​​my​​ Wheaten​ ​Terrier,​​ Charley,​​ my​​ family, ​​and​ ​my ​​students!​​ I ​​enjoy​ ​reading ​​book ​​series ​​and​ ​my favorite ​​series ​​is, ​​​Fable Haven​​ by​​Brandon​ ​Mull.​ ​Prior ​​to ​​teaching, ​​I ​​was ​​in​ ​the ​​Peace​​Corps ​​and ​​lived ​​in Paraguay ​​for ​​3 ​​years; this ​​helped​​ me​​ be come ​​fluent ​​in ​​Spanish ​​and ​​influenced ​​me ​​to​​ move ​​to ​​NYC.​ ​I attended ​​Teachers ​​College, ​​Columbia ​​University ​​where ​​I ​​studied ​​Bilingual ​​​Education​ ​for ​​Graduate School.
