It is with great excitement that we are welcoming our ballroom dancing Silver Ribbon Champions from Dancing classrooms competition. It was truly an honor and a privilege to be involved in the event with such history, and in the heart of our home, and best school - P.S.173.
Our wonderful world of Ballroom Dance has given us so much, and we at P.S.173 will continue to develop and promote this wonderful art form.
Our students have grown so much, first as new dancers to novice competitors. Our students gave it their best, demonstrating style and grace. We at P.S. 173 appreciate how our ballroom dancers represented us.
Parents and students received a joyful production of ballroom dancing from our 5th graders. It was full of triumph featuring technical flair, charm and grace. The performance was an exciting event and a great way to celebrate these talented dancers.
Our P.S.173 Turn 2 US baseball players had the amazing opportunity to visit Yankee Stadium. These baseball players exemplify the qualities of true champions. They are hardworking, compassionate and always strive to be the best they can be in all they do. This special trip was offered as a reward for their great work ethic and positive character traits during the 2017-2018 baseball season.
The students arrived at Yankee Stadium accompanied by their coaches, they were greeted by the Yankee Stadium tour directors. The players had the thrill of their lives touring the magnificent stadium, visiting the Yankee Museum, Monument Park and the Yankee Dugout. The students were amazed by what they saw and loved sitting in the Judge's Chambers section. It was a day that these students will never forget.
