Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2nd, Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing kids, teens, and books together. Students and faculty of P.S.173 altered our school to transform it into one big Dr. Seuss collection to celebrate Read Across America. Throughout the week, students and staff made our hallways and classroom look straight out of our favorite Dr. Seuss books. Each floor read one of Dr. Seuss' books, which inspired the decor and activities that went on in each classroom.
